Meet the Team There are three dentists at our practice. Gavin the owner works full-time and Anne and Bill work part-time. They are supported by an excellent team that include Annie Bowler our manageress, Nadina Delaney our receptionist and our three nurses Rosie Morter, Pat Watson and Natalie Hind.

Gavin Lake - Gavin qualified from Newcastle upon Tyne Dental School in 1978. He went on to do two associateships in Nottingham before opening Chellaston Dental Practice in 1984. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and particularly enjoys the special rapport built up with patients after many years at Chellaston. He is married to Gill and has two daughters, Katie and Anna. Gavin’s interests include railways, photography, pottery, travel and cooking.

Anne Capon - Anne qualified from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1985. Post qualification she worked in Oral Surgery and has been at Chellaston Dental Practice since 1988. She loves all aspects of General Dentistry but has special interests in Cosmetic Dentistry, Endodontics, Periodontal Surgery and Oral Surgery. She is married to Steve and has two children, Sam and Chris. Outside dentistry she has a passion for horses and competes regularly in dressage.

Bill Stalley - Bill has had 35 years experience in virtually all aspects of Dental practice, since early 1975, and spent 19 happy years in Hospital Dentistry coupled with a teaching commitment where he helped both undergraduates and young graduates learn demanding practical skills. He regularly and vigorously kept himself up to date with current techniques and is therefore able to combine his vast experience with a youthful and enthusiastic approach to dental problem solving. His natural ability to empathise, good humour and his artistic flair have led him to his current special interests in the treatment of very nervous patients and cosmetic/aesthetic reconstruction with veneers, crowns, bridgework and dental implants.

Annie Bowler - Annie is the practice manageress and joined the practice in 1995. She has worked in the Dental profession for 33 years starting as a Dental Surgery Assistant in Bedfordshire. Annie has gained considerable experience in the field of Dentistry following an overseas hospital post. She obtained her professional qualification in 1980.

Rosie Morter - Rosie is a Dental Surgery Assistant and Receptionist and joined the practice when it opened in February 1984. During her 26 years at the practice she has gained considerable knowledge of all aspects of general dental practice. Rosie is a local girl having lived most of her life in Chellaston.

Pat Watson - Pat is a Dental Surgery Assistant and joined the practice in 1988. She has worked in the Dental Profession for 35 years starting as a Dental Surgery Assistant in a Derby city centre practice. She has gained considerable knowledge of all aspects of general dental practice in this time, specialising in oral health education. Pat, too, is a local girl having lived in the area most of her life.

Nadina Delaney - Nadina is a Receptionist and Dental Surgery Assistant and joined the practice in October 2007. She has worked in the dental profession for 13 years starting as a Dental Surgery Assistant in Worcester. She qualified in May 2009 when she obtained her National Certificate of Dental Nursing.

Natalie Hind - Natalie is a Dental Surgery Assistant and joined the practice in 2008. She is new to the profession and obtained her National Certificate of Dental Nursing in May 2009. Natalie has lived in Alvaston all her life and nurses for Gavin.
